MEC Motlhabane to launch Matlosana Community Safety Forum
North West MEC for Community Safety and Transport Management, Dr Mpho Motlhabane will call on Matlosana communities to work closely with police and all relevant stakeholders in crime prevention and take charge of all safety issues within their area. This will take place when the MEC will be officially launching the Matlosana Community Safety Forum at the Matlosana Local Municipality Chamber. The CSF facilitates the delivery of a multi-sectoral government approach on safety in communities. The forum’s approach is broader than that of the Community Policing Forums in that it includes the responses from all the departments in the Justice, Crime Prevention and Security cluster. The forum will be launched under the government strategic objective on crime prevention that says “All people in South Africa are and feel safe”.
